After quite a struggle with the Bradford- DeWolf- Pratt Line, I have confidently submitted the paperwork to the CT Mayflower Historian. Midge Hurtuk will then forward the Documents to the Mayflower Society. If all goes well the Pratts (via Grandmother DeWolf) will have the 3rd blood-line to Mayflower folks.
I will then start working the Degory Priest- Grandfather Pratt line which may take another 10 years!
I'll keep you posted.

I want to see that line that includes the slave traders! We need some excitement and color in our heritage. We need to find the criminals and perverts, as well as the law-abiding and righteous! Like the guy, with a Vermont license plate on his car, who pulled up in front of the house on South Lane, where the name 'Pratt' was on the mailbox. He rolled down his window, and said to mother, "The Pratt's are no damned good!", and then drove away. I wonder who and what he was talking about. Keep digging.
Before telling mother that "The Pratt's are no damned good!" He had told her that his name was also Pratt. Wonder if we are related to those Vermont Pratts?
So far I haven't seen any of the Fitch- DeWolf line that died from 'consumption' which was a cause of death in a lot of the records for other folks. They appeared to be either straight-laced, or sly 'Jack' Congregationalist, or Quakers!
There was a lot of Rev. in the first several generations. We all know about those sorts.
I guess I will find out about the Pratt side one of these days. Maybe I shouldn't go there.
Hey, I wonder if we are related to the Southwick Pratts. Charles Pratt is a plumber and his son died at home a couple of months ago. I've decided that the reason you mention in the obit that someone died at home with their family by their side is so that people won't think it was a drug overdose.
As I recall the guy who said the Pratts were no damn good talked to Mother for 20 minutes or so. I think I was actually still living at home so I might have more details than my older siblings.
