The Veteran's Memorial Committee of the City of Plano conviened at the Memorial site last evening to witness the progress to date. It is an amazing tribute to our Veterans, military forces currently protecting our freedoms and their families.Dedication will be on November 11, 2008, Veteran's Day. A number of dignitaries, military organizations, local law enforcement and people of Plano and surrounding areas will be present.
One of the most noteable speakers will be the Honerable Sam Johnson of the House of Representatives representing our District. 'Sam', as he likes to be called, was shot down during the Viet Nam Conflict and spent seven years as a POW. He is my personal Hero.
